01
KUNMING arrival (1894 meters):
Meet
at airport and transfer to hotel. Day
02
KUNMING: Visit
Western Hills with Dragon
Gate and Huating Temple
in the morning. In the afternoon visit Minority
Museum, old town with bird
and flower market. Day
03
KUNMING/DALI (2100 meters):
Fly
to Dali in the morning, 30 minutes. Visit Three Pagodas,
old town Dali, cruise on Erhai Lake to Jinsuo
Island to visit the local temple and fisher village. Then
drive to Xizhou Village, home stay in a family of Bai
minority, work, cook and talk with the family. Lunch at local
restaurant, dinner with local family. Home
stay with a family in the village. Day
04
DALI-LIJIANG (2500 meters):
Visit
the morning market and architecture of Bai minority in Xizhou,
tie-dyed cloth workshop in Zhoucheng Village. Drive
to Lijiang, 191 kilometers, 3 or 4 hours. Day 05
LIJIANG:
Excursion to Yak Meadow of Jade Dragon Snow Mountains
by chair lift, Visit Baisha Frescos. Drive
to Baihua village, home stay in a family of Naxi minority,
work, cook and talk with the family. Lunch
at local restaurant, dinner with local family. Day
06
LIJIANG:
Excursion
to the first bend of Yangtze River, Shigu Village, Tiger
Leaping Gorge. Day
07
LIJIANG-KUNMING:
Fly
to Kunming in the morning, 40 minutes. Excursion
to Stone Forest with visit of a village on the way. Day
08 KUNMING Departure: Morning
free. After
lunch transfer to airport for departure flight. |
