Day01  KUNMING arrival (1894 meters)

Met at airport and transfer to hotel.

Dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight at Harbour Plaza***** or Kunming Hotel****

Day02  KUNMING/MANGSHI (800 meters)

Visit Botanical Institute and talk with the specialists in the morning.

Visit old town Kunming with bird and flower market.

Fly to Mangshi in the afternoon, 40 minutes.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Mangshi Hotel***

Day03  MANGSHI-TENGCHONG (1500 meters)

Drive to Tengchong, 107 kilometers, 3 hours.

Trekking to Gaoligong Mountains to study the Rhododendron. The rhododendrons on the

mountains are from half meter to 20 meters high, with bright colors of red, white, pink and purple.

Picnic lunch, dinner at local restaurant.

Day04  TENGCHONG

Sightseeing in Tengchong: Heshun Village with traditional architecture, Hot Springs and

dormant volcanoes.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Day05  TENGCHONG-BAOSHAN

Drive to Baoshan via the old road, 131 kilometers, or 4 hours.

Visit rhododendron on the way on the mountains.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Landu Hotel***

Day06  BAOSHAN-LIUKU (1200 meters)

Drive to Liuku, 180 kilometers, or 5 hours.

Visit villages of Lisu minority on the way.

Visit Salween Bridge and the town of Liuku, which was built in Salween Gorge.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Day07  LIUKU-PIANMA-LIUKU

Drive to Pianma, 98 kilometers , or 3 hours.

Study Rhododendron in Pianma.

Picnic lunch, dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight at Liuku Hotel**

Day08  LIUKU-GONGSHAN (2200 meters)

Drive to Gongshan, along Salween River, 247 kilometers, or 7 hours.

Visit the landscape of Salween Gorge on the way.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Gongshan Guest House

Day09  GONGSHAN-DIMALUO (2800 meters)

Drive to Bingzhongluo, 50 kilometers, or 2 hours.

Visit the church in Bingzhongluo.

Drive back to Luopo, 30 kilometers, 1 hour, trekking to Dimaluo, 10 kilometers.

Study Rhododendron in Dimaluo.

Picnic lunch and dinner.

Overnight in tent

Day10  DIMALUO-GONGSHAN

Study rhododendron in the morning.

Trekking back to Luopo 10 kilometers, then drive to Gongshan, 20 kilometers.

Picnic lunch, dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight at Gongshan Guest House

Day11  GONGSHAN-LIUKU

Visit church in Fugong.

Drive to Liuku, 247 kilometers.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Liuku Hotel**

Day12  LIUKU-DALI (2000 meters)

              Drive to Dali, 267 kilometers, or 7 hours.

              Visit villages on the way.

              Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

              Overnight at Asia Star Hotel****

Day13  DALI

Visit Three Pagodas, cruise on Erhai Lake, visit old town Dali.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Asia Star Hotel****

Day14  DALI/KUNMING

Fly to Kunming in the morning.

Visit Western Hills with Dragon Gate and Huating Temple, old town with bird and flower market.

Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Overnight at Kunming Hotel****

Day15  KUNMING departure

Morning free.

After lunch transfer to airport for departure flight.
